What I Want Out of This Class

I want to learn about emerging new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, data mining, computer security to name a few. 

It is interesting to see how much of our lives are connected and dependent on the internet. With so much of our information out there, there lies a question of safeguarding our identity and the extent to which it can be protected. Are there ways we can enhance the security of our systems? Can we protect them from never being attacked or can we only fix an attack once it has already happened? 

 Another thing I want to explore is the evolution of technology i.e. the direction in which it is headed. Would AI achieve singularity one day and humans would no longer have to work? What would life look like if such a possibility happens? 

 Cryptocurrencies seem to be the new money-making tool used by a few. Are they here to stay forever? Is it going to replace the dollar one day? How do we take care of the dark sides of the application? 

 Everything seems to be built upon numbers and letters. Where do they come from?

 Where does technology come from? How do we harness it? How did a miracle like the computer happen? What about the internet? What about 3D printers? What about everything? The universe?
